The bank teller is a responsible employee of a bank who is regarded as the 'front line' of any banking enterprise, representing it in a positive mode. The personnel working under this profile are professionals in handling cash. They shoulder the responsibility of identifying and ceasing any fallacious transactions taking place in the organization which could be in the form of forged documents, check kiting, counterfeit checks, altered checks, identity theft, wire transfer fraud, confidence tricks, etc.
Most of the time, they are the first point of contact for all customers entering the financial institution. Responsibilities
Process all cash transactions taking place in the bank
+ Maintain accurate details of each transaction
+ Make precise entries into the banking system
+ Balance the currency, validate deposit slips, and issue negotiable instruments viz., draft issuances, promissory notes, traveler's checks, bills of exchange, etc.
+ Tally the full cash amount at the end of each day
